6.16.2010: Stuck Poem

Your laugh makes me smile,
Your touch gives me chills,
Your ringtone makes my heart beat faster.
I am stuck on you.

You say anything to make me laugh,
You send me sweet texts,
You take such good care of me.
I think you're stuck on me, too.

Untitled

I sit in the dark,
in the very near dark,
one lone candle burning.
The cold blade sits in my hand,
mocking- too chickenshit to
actually do anything- my
body aches. I look at the
dancing candle flame, then
back at the glint of metal
in my plam. The dull ache
in my head becomes sharper,
stronger. The metal feels
good against my warm
arm. A rustle- I look up,
and you are there. The tears
begin, but I cannot stop
them, or brush them away.
You sit, silently, and bury
your face in my hair. The
blade is taken from my
fingers, and I am pulled
against your heartbeat.
Arms envelope me, the
tears stop, and I sleep.

5.26.2010: Ways to____ Poem:

There are so many ways
to break my heaert,
and you seem to hit
on most of them-
lesser ways, sure,
but how long
until you hit the
biggest way of all,
and break my heart
forever?

5.12.2010: Monster Poem

Something lurks under the bed,
in the closet, in the darkest
corners of my room. I cannot
see it, or even smell it.
But I can certainly hear it-
hear its breathing, hear its
heartbeat. Sometimes I even
feel its hot breath on my
face when I sleep. But
when I sit up, I can see
nothing in the darkness,
but I can hear it- hear
its breathing, hear its
heartbeat, and I know
it is watching me.

4.28.2010: End of the Line Poem:

There's nowhere to go from here.
No forward, no back. Left or
right, up or down. We have
reached this point on our own,
and now we must face
whatever comes next.

4.27.2010: Two for Tuesdays

Hopeful:
Every day the sun comes up,
the flowers open,
the birds sing, and
it's another day
I'm still alive.

Hopeless:
The darkness is never-ending;
the sun doesn't shine for me
anymore. My days are
numbered. The sky grows
dreary, the rain falls, and
vegetation dies.

4.25.2010: Song Poem:

"Hold Tight" - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich

Hold tight to me-
we're going for
a wild ride.
Through the city
streets, fast as
the car can go.
The night is ours-
hold tight.
